Industry Background
The forklift industry is quite a misunderstood industry. While the layman associates it with just moving goods within a warehouse, a forklift is used in every known industry. Forklifts pickup, move, lift and discharge all kinds of goods in all types of industry.
These include boxes and crates at warehouses, fruits and vegetables in the market and plantations, cement bags and bricks at a construction site, containers at ports and airports, moving luggage for a cruise vessel/airport/seaport, road construction, railway lines, power distribution, water pipes and all types of manufacturing facilities. In fact, in almost all and every product we know, some form of a forklift or lifting equipment has been used at some stage of its production or distribution. Its size in the global market is thus significant, although usually unnoticed.
